Knife Gate Valve Guide

Are you unsure of what type of Knife Gate is appropriate for your situation ?

Knife gate valves (commonly known as Slurry Valves) are used in a variety of difficult or severe applications. Knife Gate Valves are primarily used to permit or prevent the flow of slurry/liquids.
However in certain non abrasive liquids (such as water) Knife Gate Valves are used for flow isolation as well as throttling/control duties in a limited way.
Knife Gate Valves are generally not used in clean media where conventional valves are sufficient.

Is the slurry particularly abrasive, corrosive or are you operating in a high pressure pipeline ? Do you require valve to be used in a High Pressure Acid Leach or similar Leach circuit ? If your operating environment is severe please see the ALLOYSEAL series of Knife Gate valves In response to market requirements BI-SEAL is now manufacturing a TYTAN Titanium Knife Gate valves for particularly corrosive slurry. Perhaps your operating environment is less severe, but you still require a knife gate valve for the slurry in your plant. The Ferro FRP or the Ferro Poly 1 may suit..
